Connecting Google Ads and Meta Ads brings your ad spend, campaigns, and performance into UMAP360 — and lets UMAP360 send conversions back to those platforms so they can optimize toward the customers who actually matter to you. This page walks you through connecting each one.

What you get when you connect

Once an ad platform is connected, two things start happening:

  • Your ad data flows in. UMAP360 pulls in your campaigns, ad spend, and performance metrics so you can see how your paid channels are doing alongside the rest of your data.
  • Conversions flow back out. UMAP360 can send conversion events (like purchases and sign-ups) and audience segments back to the platform. This sharpens the platform's optimization and ad targeting using the outcomes that actually happened, not just on-site signals.

Both Google Ads and Meta Ads are two-way connections — data comes in, and conversions go out.

Connect Google Ads

  1. Go to Connectors and click Google Ads.
  2. Click Connect with Google.
  3. Sign in to your Google account and authorize UMAP360.
  4. Choose the Google Ads account you want to connect.
  5. Pick what you want to turn on:
    • Campaign sync — pull in your campaign, ad group, and ad performance data.
    • Offline conversions — send conversion events back to Google Ads.
    • Customer Match — sync audience segments for ad targeting.
  6. Click Save.

That's it. Your campaigns and spend start appearing, and any conversions or audiences you enabled begin flowing back to Google.

Connect Meta Ads

  1. On the Connectors page, click Meta Ads.
  2. Click Connect with Facebook.
  3. Authorize UMAP360 in the Facebook popup.
  4. Choose the ad account you want to connect.
  5. Pick what you want to turn on:
    • Campaign sync — pull in campaign and ad performance data.
    • Conversions API — send conversion events back to Meta.
    • Custom Audiences — sync audience segments for ad targeting.
  6. Click Save.

The data UMAP360 sends back is protected

Any personal information used to match conversions or build audiences is hashed before it leaves UMAP360, and your authorization is stored securely. You stay in control of which conversions and audiences are shared.

How often it syncs

You don't have to think about keeping things current — UMAP360 handles it for you:

  • Right after you connect, UMAP360 fetches your campaigns so they show up without waiting.
  • On a regular schedule, your ad data refreshes automatically throughout the day to stay fresh.
  • On demand, you can open the connector and use Sync Now any time you want the latest numbers immediately.

If a connection drops

Ad platform authorizations don't last forever. Google and Meta expire access periodically, and a connection can also drop if someone removes UMAP360's access from the platform's app settings.

When that happens, UMAP360 notices on the next sync and shows a "Reconnect required" notification automatically. It pauses the connector so it isn't repeatedly retrying in the background.

To get back up and running:

  1. Go to Connectors and open the affected platform.
  2. Click to reconnect and sign in / re-authorize through the platform again.

One account issue won't take down the rest

If UMAP360 can't access a single ad account it'll flag that account with an error, but the rest of your connection keeps working. You don't need to reconnect the whole thing for one account.

Keep an eye on health

Each connected platform shows its current status, the time of its last successful sync, how much data flowed in recently, and any sync errors. It's worth a quick weekly check so you catch any issue early.
